Face
The face is commonly the focus of attention. As a result, imperfections in the face are often perceived as distressing. In modern aesthetic medicine, there are numerous methods to correct the face.

At PlastCouture, the following procedures are used:
Lip correction & Lip augmentation
There are many different lip shapes and all of them can be beautiful in their own way. However, if the lips are very narrow, this can give a disturbing impact on the overall facial appearance. With hyaluronic acid beautiful results can be achieved for filling or accentuating the lips. Even a minimal change in the contour can change the look significantly.
With increasing age or by nature, the distance between the upper lip and nose can be longer, creating the appearance of a narrow, poorly proportioned upper lip. In these cases, a lip lift (syn. bullhorn lift) can provide a permanent remedy. This can achieve a condition in which the upper lip gains fullness and volume - a sign of femininity and sensuality for many women.
By request lip correction can be performed under local anesthetics. The procedure is simple and safe. Swelling of the lips shortly after the treatment is common and can be minimized by applying ice. These symptoms normally last for a short period.

Facelift
Face- and Necklift
The ageing process is mostly visible on the face: deep nasolabial folds, dropping cheeks, sagging jowls, tissue slackening under the chin, wrinkles around the mouth area – years pass by leaving their mark with these typical age-related facial changes and literally make us look old. However, if our well-being is duly affected by an increased imbalance of reflection and self-image and non-surgical procedures like Botulinum, wrinkle fillers or laser treatment do not suffice, tissue firming methods must be used. A facelift can effectively correct the ageing process of your skin and restore a natural and youthful, fresher looking appearance. By tightening the skin and facial muscles unattractive wrinkles disappear and optimal and long-lasting results are ensured.
Based on examination and your individual aesthetic needs I will help you choose the best facial rejuvenation that is right for you. A facelift can rejuvenate targeted areas or it can be performed on the entire face. Quite often, additional treatments such as lipofillings or treatments in order to improve skin quality are performed to complement the overall rejuvenation.
Depending on the degree of skin laxity either a complete neck- or facelift or a mini lift can be considered. While the neck- or facelift offers a comprehensive contour lift of the cheeks and neck, the mini lift is suitable for patients who desire partial corrections and is restricted to removal or tightening sagging skin in the cheeks. In addition, a liposuction can also be performed to harmonize transitions.
Facelifts are very individualized procedures and given their complexities detailed questions can only be discussed in person during a consultation.
The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthetic or sedation and lasts 2-5 hours. After surgery your face will be wrapped in bandages for the first 48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. It is recommended to apply ice in the first few days. Stitches will be removed after 8 days and work can be resumed after 2 weeks.

Thread lift
Gentle facelift without surgery
We all know them - those fine lines that appear on our face when we laugh or squint our eyes. Such wrinkles are completely normal and give our face its individual expression. Over the years, our skin loses elasticity and moisture, making these wrinkles more prominent and visible even when we are not laughing or squinting. To counteract the first wrinkles, there are various ways to reduce facial wrinkles depending on their type and depth. At PlastCouture, we offer a variety of treatments, including the minimally invasive thread lift.
This thread lift can successfully combat the first signs of ageing such as sagging skin on the cheeks, eyebrows, corners of the mouth and neck. Sagging areas are lifted by the lift and returned to their original position. This makes the face appear rejuvenated and better contoured. The procedure can also create a tightening, smoothing effect in the décolleté and neck area.
Areas of application:
- Forehead
- Eyes (brows)
- Cheeks
- Nasobial fold
- Chin line
- Neck
- Décolleté
In modern thread lifting methods, biocompatible and self-dissolving threads are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue using fine micro-needles. These threads cause "biostimulation" in the skin. Cells are stimulated to form tissue around the thread and new collagen is produced. The skin volume increases and there is a tightening and lifting effect.
It can also be combined with other wrinkle treatments. Other modern therapies, such as lipofilling, hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin (Botox®) or PRP autologous blood therapy, to name but a few, are combined with each other to achieve the best possible effect.
The thread dissolves again after approx. 6-18 months, so the results of a thread lift are not permanent. However, due to the formation of new collagen fibers, the result usually remains visible for up to two years. After that, the thread lift can be repeated.
The thread method cannot remove excess skin and therefore makes wrinkle tightening impossible if there is too much excess skin. Thread lifting is also unable to provide satisfactory results if the skin is too advanced in its ageing process or sagging, or if the skin is too thick.
There is no specific age for wrinkle treatment. Some patients already suffer from deep wrinkles at a young age. That is why I advise each patient individually and personally, according to their individual findings.
I will be happy to work with you to create an individual treatment plan and take the time to answer your concerns and questions. Please make an appointment in advance.

Eyelids
Eyelid surgery
Upper and lower eyelid surgery
A person's eyes are literally a mirror of the soul. A fresh and youthful appearance is largely determined by our eye area.
With increasing age, however, excess skin can develop in the upper and lower eyelid area, giving us a tired, sad and older appearance. Alert, radiant eyes demonstrate vitality and joie de vivre, whereas drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes make us look tired, sad and weak. The eyelids become heavier during the day, eye make-up can no longer be applied precisely, and there is often even a restriction of the field of vision. The various consequences of natural skin ageing can be reasons to consider eyelid correction.
The treatment of the eyelids is one of Dr. Wong's main focuses. It depends on the severity of the findings. In most cases, a reduction of the excess skin combined with a minimal reduction of the fat padding the eyeball is sufficient. However, some patients suffer a loss of volume in the orbital region due to ageing or have a so-called A-frame deformity. In these cases, additional treatment steps such as lipofilling can be added on request.
The incisions are made in the eyelid crease for upper eyelid lifting and 1-2 mm below the eyelash line for lower eyelid lifting so that they are barely visible after healing. The operation can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia and takes between 1 and 2 hours. Upper and lower eyelid lifts can be combined. The operation time is extended accordingly. After the operation, a bandage should be applied for the first few hours to minimize swelling and bruising of the skin. It is also advisable to cool the affected areas several times a day for the first few days.
The sutures are removed after 5-8 days. The ability to socialize is restored after 8-12 days.
For patients with dark circles under their eyes, treatment of the lower eyelids alone with autologous fat injections (see also lipofilling) can provide good and lasting results.
If you are thinking about a younger, refreshed, simply fresher appearance, I will be happy to inform you about the possibilities of eyelid lift surgery in a personal consultation.

Eyebrows
Brow lift
Eyebrows can droop with age, causing a tired or sullen look - similar to drooping eyelids. It is therefore necessary to look closely at the cause of this appearance.
In some cases, relaxing certain facial muscles with neuromudulators (e.g. botulinum toxin) as a so-called "chemical brow lift" may be sufficient. For patients who only want an opening of the outer eye area, a so-called "fox eye lift" as a special thread lift can also be interesting under certain conditions. Once the threads have dissolved around 10-12 months after placement, it may be necessary to repeat the fox eye lift.
Alternatively and permanently, an indirect brow lift (with an invisible scar behind the hairline) or a direct brow lift above the eyebrow can be performed as part of a minor surgical procedure.
In some cases, a combination of an upper blepharoplasty and a brow lift may also be necessary.
We will be happy to discuss the options available to you during a consultation.

Otoplasty
Protruding ears, also known as "bat ears", are the most common congenital deformity. It is frequently a cause for teasing and can leave psychological scars in a child. Nowadays in aesthetic medicine otoplasty is considered as routine surgery. It can be performed on children at a young age, as the ear is already fully developed at the age of 5-7 years. The majority of the German public health insurers bears the costs of this treatment depending on the degree of psychological distress until school age. Afterwards, this corrective treatment is considered as cosmetic surgery and must be fully paid by the patient or his parents.
Otoplasty is a surgery where the cartilage is reshaped to create the missing folds and position the ear closer to the head. This can be performed both on children and adults.
Depending on the age of the patient, the treatment can generally be done under local anaesthetic.
After surgery a forehead bandage must be worn during day and night in total for 3 weeks and another 3 weeks at night time to prevent the ear from – especially during sleep – creasing or bending. Stitches are removed one week after treatment.

Ear lobe repair
After ear piercing various kinds of problems could occur: heavy drop earrings may cause sagging ear lobes. Also earrings could snag and rip right through the ear lobe. Following injury in the ear lobe area keloids can form.
It is relatively unknown that ear lobe repairs are performed by plastic surgeons. The procedure is very minor and the ear lobe reconstruction is carried out under local anaesthetic. Stitches can be removed a week after surgery.
It is recommended to leave the wound heal at least 3 to 6 months before re-piercing.
